Designer name: Louise Gray

Origin: Fraserburgh, Scotland.

Design background: Louise studied at The Glasgow School of Art in textile design and Central Saint Martins, where she completed her MA. Design collaborations include Cotton USA, Judy Blame, Nicholas Kirkwood, the Smiley Company and Crown Paint. Louise is also sponsored by the Centre for Fashion Enterprise.

Career highlight: “NEWGEN show sponsorshop at London Fashion Week.”

Design signatures: “Colour, textures, hand silk screened, specially developed fabrics in woven, embroidered and printed techniques.”

How would you describe the Louise Gray woman? “Ultimately someone who is fun.”

What’s next for your brand? “From this autumn, the V&A shop will stock products specially designed by me.”
