Design background: Louise studied at Central Saint Martins for seven years (Foundation, BA and MA). She worked as head designer at Tereza Santos in Brazil for two years programming and learning about the machines.
Design signatures: “Innovative programmed techniques where I create my own knitted fabric and textures, combined with structured, sculpted garments.”
How would you describe the Louise Goldin woman? “A woman who has her own sense of style. She can integrate a Louise Goldin piece into her wardrobe and wear it effortlessly!”
Name three things that are inspiring you for autumn/winter 2010: “It would give too much away…”
What encapsulates fashionable London for you? “Mount Street, Belgravia and J. Sheekey's for dinner.”
What do you hope the new decade will mean for your brand? “Expansion and success.”
How does London influence your designs? “There is such a buzz and creative flow in London! I love creating here. I get inspired by all museums - the V&A, The British Museum, Tate and scientific research libraries... I love looking into science: chemistry, biology and physics.”
