Estethica is celebrating its 5th Anniversary as the industry’s leading showcase of ethical fashion. Livia Firth and Harold Tillman CBE hosted a celebratory evening on May 24th 2011 for guests including past and present Estethica designers and industry experts at Almada, Mayfair. Estethica thanks its official sponsor, Monsoon, for their support for the ninth consecutive season.

At the press day on November 11th, the BFC announced the winners of a programme to develop eco fashion businesses as part of its ethical fashion initiative estethica.

Caroline Rush, CEO of the British Fashion Council, Farida Kaikobad, Brand Director of River Island and the panel of Fash/On Film hosted a champagne reception to launch the BFC's new fashion film initiative sponsored by River Island on Friday 17th February.

As part of this season's Fash/On Film showcase, TEST Presents hosted a special screening of the London preview of the Diana Vreeland documentary 'The Eye Has To Travel' on Saturday February 18th. Author and director Lisa Immordino Vreeland introduced the film and participated in a post-screening Q&A session with the audience.

BFC Fash/On Film sponsored by River Island launched on Friday 14th September with a film screening and champagne reception at Somerset House. After speeches from Fash/On Film panel members Josie Roscop, Laura Bailey and Stephen Whelan, 9 films were screened including ‘It will not always be summer’ by Ryan Hope for River Island Design Forum by William Tempest and ‘TRACES’ by Abbie Stephens for Emilio de la Morena. This film was commissioned by River Island and the British Fashion Council for the Fash/On Film Mentoring Scheme.

Naomi Campbell’s Fashion For Relief™, a spectacular charity fashion show and auction, was back for 2010, taking centre stage at the British Fashion Council’s official London Fashion Week show venue, at Somerset House, on 18th February.

Three womenswear designers have been awarded Fashion Forward sponsorship for 2013, supporting them to show at London Fashion Week and develop their businesses through access to a range of advisors. The scheme is sponsored by eBay Fashion and supported by the Mayor of London.
