Origin: Sweden.

Career highlight: “Being awarded NEWGEN!”

Design background: Fannie is a graduate of the BA Fashion Design Womenswear course at London College of Fashion. Before setting up her own label, she interned for Hussein Chalayan, Giles Deacon and Julien Macdonald. She continues to work for artists Simon Henwood and Moritz Waldemeyer.

What are your design signatures? “Raw, sculptured, industrial, androgynous, statement pieces in muted colours.”

How would you describe the Fannie Schiavoni woman? “Anyone creative enough to make my pieces their own statement. I love making accessories as they're all statement pieces, but the wearer can decide what kind of statement. They can be worn in endless ways and with endless different outfits.”

Name three things that are inspiring you for spring/summer 2011: “Chemistry, collaborations and my new studio.”

What encapsulates London fashion for you? “Browns Focus. They take chances with new, up-and-coming designers.”

What do you hope the new decade will mean for your brand? “Bigger, better, bolder!”

How does London influence your designs? “The endless possibilities. Living and working in London makes you feel like anything is possible. I think if I lived in another city I might have been more restricted and less imaginative with my designs.”
