In 2016 Pam Hogg received an honorary doctorate for her contribution to fashion, this was preceded by her TED Talk two weeks earlier.

A graduate of the Glasgow School of Art, she was awarded the Newbury Medal of Distinction, The Frank Warner Memorial Medal, The Leverhulme Scholarship and the Royal Society of Arts Bursary. This was followed by her Masters of Art Degree at the Royal College of Art in London.

Pam Hogg is self taught in fashion. Early collections mid 80'S were first stocked at Harrods, Joseph, Harvey Nichols, Bloomingdales and Bendals. She was on the cover of ID Magazine in 1989 with her sixth collection "Warrior Queen". Pam continued to sell in Britain and overseas alongside her own boutique in London's Soho until 1992 when she changed course and stepped away from fashion to pursue music. Her band Doll opened for Blondie in 1993. In the late 90s Pam returned briefly to fashion producing two collections and a fashion film starring Anita Pallenberg.

In 2006 she was invited to exhibit at "Switch on the Power" alongside Yoko Ono, Andy Warhol, Leigh Bowery and Kraftwerk. In 2008, Browns of South Molton St London, was the first to stock the new Hogg Couture collection, and she was subsequently invited to dress all five windows. Pam received a standing ovation when she returned to London Fashion Week in 2009. She has continued to show twice yearly. The cover of December Vogue 2011 showed Giselle in Pam Hogg leggings, shot by Mario Testino. She was invited to design the Brit Award Trophies in 2016. There are currently 5 Pam Hogg outfits in the travelling exhibition "The Vulgar", shown at the Barbican in London and the Winter Palace in Vienna. Her clothes are worn by Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Kylie, and Kate Moss. Her catwalk show guests include Nick Cave, Siouxsie Sioux, and Dame Vivienne Westwood.
