Zoe Sherwood is a creative force blurring the boundaries of artist, designer and maker within the creative industry spectrum.
She is known for her signature sculptural pieces inspired by nature. Incorporating sustainable natural materials when creating on, around and away from the body.
Zoe works independently, collaboratively and with specialised crafts people within the UK to bring to life her specific ideas.
Born and currently based in London Zoe developed her design industry skills and knowledge at Central St Martins, where she met and worked with a wealth of design talent.
Zoe’s passion lays in the creation of an entire look, honing her pattern skills at Savile Row tailors, Henry Poole. Before graduating Zoe had already worked freelance for Diane Von Furstenberg, her designs and feather creations selling in prestigious New York stores. She also launched her own label and collection of women's hair ornaments with the help of Liberty in London selling under their ‘Best of British Designers’ both in store and online.
Over the past 6 years Zoe has worked across a broad spectrum within the creative industry delivering collaborations and commissions with high end fashion designs for catwalk and static shows, advertising campaigns, exclusive magazine photo shoots, bespoke pieces for musicians and costumes for major Hollywood films. Her work has been shown in countries all over the world.
Recently Zoe worked with Oscar award winning costume designer Alexander Byrne on the Warner Brothers film 300 Rise of an Empire. Zoe designed and made a bespoke bodice and cuffs out of hair for lead actress Eva Green who plays the character Artemisia in the film.
Zoe is currently working on her Spring Summer 15 collection of head ornaments and stand alone pieces. These will be on display at Somerset House as a part of London Fashion week in September 2014.
