AnaleenaBACKGROUND: ANALEENA was founded in 2008 by British designer Lina Hamed. Lina studied at London College of Fashion, the Harrow School of Art and holds a BA (HONS) in Fashion Design from the University of Westminster. Lina has worked at Hermés as the buyer for the flagship Bond Street store, before moving to Paris with Hermés to design special projects in exotic skins, going on to work as a design assistant in Jean Louis Scherrer alongside Stephane Rolland in Paris.

TRADEMARK PIECE:
“The Chancellor bag, which was launched at the same time as the Chancellor announced the Budget, and was in the same ruby red in alligator. A stylish bag, that can be carried 3 ways using the chain or handle, it exists in one colour, bi-colour and tricolour.”

SIGNATURES: Main design signature is the degradee crocodile skins that I created, the skins are hand dyed in lighter tones in the centre of the skin. Lambskin baby pink lining, torches and bag hangers inside every handbag.

COLLECTION: “ANALEENA designs are always timeless pieces. I always think of a strong lady who knows what she wants, and appreciates luxury and good quality. Most of all she wants to stand out. And my design process flows from there.”

WHAT MAKES LONDON WOMENSWEAR SO EXCITING?
“London is the hub for exciting brands, innovation and creativity. There are no limits, and there's always newness.”

WHAT ARE YOU LISTENING TO IN YOUR STUDIO? “I surround myself with flowers and candles, mainly pink as it's my favourite colour. The smell is the sound of music for me.”
