Career highlight: “Winning the Bon Genie and Nice Futures Ethical Jewellery Award, Geneva, in October 2008. Being named as a ‘Future 100 Young Entrepreneur’ in 2008 was also a highlight.”

Design background: Tania completed a BA in Jewellery and Silversmithing at London Guildhall University. Synnove qualified as a goldsmith at Plus College in Fredrikstad, Norway. Both designers worked for the jewellery store, ECONE, before setting up their own label.

Design signatures: “Delicate and feminine designs based on flora and fauna.”

How would you describe the Oria woman? “Independent and style-conscious.”

Name three things that are inspiring you for spring/summer 2011: “Playful animals, wishing stars.”

What is your brand philosophy? “Oria is a socially and environmentally committed jewellery company. It is dedicated to making fine jewellery using ethically sourced gold, silver and gems.”

How do you see the brand moving forward and developing? “At Oria, we aim to become a leading international design led, contemporary jewellery brand, specialising in ethically sourced materials.”

What's new for you this season? “Birds, bees and jumping hares.”
