Design background: Jane Carr graduated from Central Saint Martins with a Fashion MA, after winning the International Wool Secretariat Prize. She was snapped up by Donatella Versace, moving to Milan, where she worked in-house for four years as head of printed textiles for womenswear. In 2005 she returned to her native London to launch her eponymous label.

How would you describe the Jane Carr woman?: "Inspired and confident, she retains her individuality yet is fashion conscious, even directed but not dictated. She is intelligent and appreciates quality."

Name three things that are inspiring you for spring/summer 2011: "The Rolling Stones' mansion Nellcote, in the Cote D'Azur, where they recorded Exile on Main Street in 1971; Woodstock Festival '3 Days of Peace & Music', August 15th-18th 1969; and the film, Easy Rider starring Peter Fonda, Dennis Hopper and Antonio Mendoza in 1969."

What is your brand philosophy?: "JANE CARR is dedicated to the creation of luxury hand-finished accessories that celebrate a sense of the now."

How do you see the brand moving forward and developing?: "Next year we are launching JANE CARR HOMME - a men's collection - and will enlarge JANE CARR GLOVE, our handmade leather glove range. We are also collaborating on several special projects in Japan."

What's new for you this season?: "Shapes are larger, colours are more muted with a stronger emphasis on the touch and handle of the fabric in relation to the print."
