DESIGNER NAME: Rachel Boston
BACKGROUND: Born in London, Rachel studied Jewellery Design at Central Saint Martin’s.
SIGNATURES: ‘Pure and strong forms.’
TRADEMARK PIECE: ‘I never take off my scorpion sting necklace from “The Protector” collection, or the lizard skin collar from the “The Ritual”.’
“The spring/summer 2015 collection has been inspired by runes; an ancient and esoteric alphabet which could be used for divination. This collection consists of very geometric and elegant designs. The pieces are made in gold and precious gems with my signature aesthetic: strong and simple forms.
WHAT DO YOU CONSIDER YOUR GREATEST ACHIEVEMENT?
“I’m very proud to have been the youngest of seven designers who were chosen to take part in the Museum of London’s Made in London jewellery exhibition which celebrated “the most talented jewellery designers working in London today". I’m also very proud to have been chosen by both ELLE and Harper’s Bazaar as A Name to Know.”
IF YOU COULD DRESS ANYONE, WHO WOULD IT BE AND WHY?
“Florence Welch would be an honour for me, I adore her voice, music and powerful stage presence. I’d love to see her wearing my jewellery.”
