DESIGN SIGNATURES: “The strength of Ming’s designs lies in the knowledge of complex pattern cutting and an individual point of view in beauty and fashion. This has led him to be skilled in interpreting and executing conceptual designs. Most of Ming’s works are strongly abstract concept based, highly focused on creative pattern cutting transformed from body language, and well balanced in terms of different colours and textures.”
TRADEMARK PIECE: “A coat composed from vegan leather belts, studs and metal rings from spring/summer 2013.”
THE COLLECTION: “ The collection is inspired by Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro and the Epilogue from The Antlers.”
WHAT DO YOU CONSIDER YOUR GREATEST ACHIEVEMENT? “Continuously presenting new collections every season both in London and Paris. It is more difficult than it sounds.”
IF YOU COULD DRESS ANYONE, WHO WOULD IT BE AND WHY? “Grimes. She's just cool and has the perfect attitude for Ming."
