For AW13 The Exhibition showcased an edit of contemporary designer ready-to-wear brands to complement the catwalk schedule and to provide buyers with an interesting and accessible offer of anchor brands and emerging contemporary brands in this core category.
For AW13, The Exhibition at LFW was home to more than 120 designers, showcasing 60 new designers and was open to all UK and international media and buyers.
The Exhibition had merchandised feature areas for each of the BFC showcasing initiatives; NEWGEN, sponsored by Topshop features some of London’s most innovative designers; Estethica gives a platform for eco-sustainable design and Headonism, showcases new British milliners. BFC Rock Vault sponsored by the International Palladium Board and curated by Stephen Webster, showcases red carpet earrings created from the precious metal Palladium, as well as full AW13 collections from the ten chosen jewellers.
The Scandinavian Showrooms is an international guest initiative at The
Exhibition this season, as part of the International Showcase, to
complement the contemporary designer offering. Positioned in The West
Wing, the showrooms hosted 19 designers including Peter Jensen,
Lindberg, Wood Wood and Altewaisaome to name a few. The Scandinavian Bar
at the entrance to the area focused on Danish interior design and offered a local culinary experience and cocktails.
New exhibitors for AW13 included: Aurora Ozma, Bottletop, Dr Martens, Electronic Sheep, Emma Yeo, Fleet Ilya, Golden Lane, Liam Fahy, Maarten Van Der Horst, Matchstick, Moody and Farrell, Mr Start Women, Studio Nicholson, Trager Delaney and Zoe Jordan.
The AMEX Insiders located across the Exhibition at Somerset House assisted with any show and exhibition queries and provided concierge services for all LFW guests including restaurant reservations.
