'Fragments in the Grass' by Katharine Harrison
Synopsis: Fragments in the Grass explores the occult phenomenon of crop circles. Looking at the theory that the circles are an imprint left behind by an object passing through the earths surface, the film uses clothing as a dialogue between nature and geometry highlighting the links between the two through stitch, texture, cut and cloth.
The importance placed by the designer on organic agriculture and respect for the natural world is brought to the forefront through the use of certified organic cottons and wood fiber alongside signature silks and chiffon. The aim of Fragments in the Grass is to mix the organic with the linear, striking a perfect balance between the two creating a subtle means of silent communication.
